Corra (Label Free Quantitative Proteomics Tool for Generating Prioritized Inclusion List)
Quantitative proteomics holds great promise for biomarker discovery, thus a range of computational
tools have been recently developed that allow for comparative protein abundance profiling. However,
independently developed tools are typically difficult to mix and match and, in certain cases,
are not appropriate for biomarker discovery approaches when analyzing large sample sets that
cover a broad cross-section of patients or populations. We present a Corra Framework which enables
the user to process a large pool of samples and to easily plug-in existing tools
by using APML (Annotated Putative peptide Markup Language). APML is a proposed presentation of comparative
protein expression profiling data format which can facilitate interoperability of existing and
new LC-MS and statistical tools and processed data management.
